Crossbow Lever - Medieval Goat's Foot

This Crossbow Lever or Medieval Goat's Foot is handmade from blackened steel and is used for spanning a crossbow. Most medieval crossbowmen used this mechanical spanning aid. The movable hook is paced on the string, the rear legs are placed on to the projecting side pins of the stock, and the lever is moved backwards to draw the bow string. The crossbow stock needs to have pins to use this type of crossbow accessory.
