Hirdsman Throwing Axe - LARP Foam CLOSEOUT

The Hirdsman Throwing Axe is a formidable LARP weapon that captures the essence of early migration period throwing axes. Its one-edged blade is shaped like a mundane utility axe with a realistic chestnut wood grain decoration. Crafted from durable closed-cell foam with a flexible core and strong latex coating, this throwing axe provides the safety and appeal you want for your LARP kit.

Throwing axes have a rich history dating back to around 6,000 B.C., when the first hafted axes were created using birch tar and rawhide lashings to fix the blade to the handle. The fearsome Frankish tribesmen were particularly skilled in using heavy-headed throwing axes against Roman legions, splitting their shields and breaking their lines with devastating accuracy.
