Knight's Riding Sword by Legacy Arms

The Knight's Riding Sword by Legacy Arms is a historically-inspired sword that shares its design with effigies from the early 14th century in Germany, as documented in Ewart Oakeshott's "Records of the Medieval Sword." These effigies depict important figures, including Arnold I Langraph of Cleve (+ 1320) in Stiftskirche at Cleve and one of the hero-figures circa 1308 in the Rathaus at Cologne. The swords on these figures have identical hilts and size to the Knight's Riding Sword, providing evidence that these short swords were not meant for boys or archers but were intended for knights and great nobles.

The Knight's Riding Sword features a hand-forged blade made from 5160 carbon steel and hand-tempered. The blade is securely peened at the pommel. The handle is constructed from wood and wrapped in black leather, ensuring a comfortable and reliable grip. The sword comes with a wood scabbard, also wrapped in black leather and accented with steel at the throat and tip.
