British 1845 Infantry Officer Sword

This replica of the British 1845 Infantry Officer’s Sword has a tempered blade of high carbon steel which is etched and embellished with the symbology of the British Royalty and of the British Empire. The hilt is brass and the grip of wood is overlaid in leather and inlaid with twisted copper wire. The sword comes with a steel scabbard with steel hanging rings.

The British Model 1845 sword saw action in many of the major wars of the 19th Century. British officers carried it at their side to the Crimean War, The Boer War and the Zulu Wars, New Zealand, Australian and Indian colonial wars. Many of these swords even reached the southern U.S.
