Doran Nymeros Martell is the head of House Martell, the Prince of Dorne, and the Lord of Sunspear. His is the brother to Elia Martell, who was married to the late king Aerys, also known as the Mad-King, but she died during the rebellion at the hands of The Mountain, by orders of Tywin Lannister. King Doran Martell has tried to seem neutral in the civil wars that have arisen after Robert Baratheon’s death, but he has secretly been plotting the downfall of the Lannisters, including taking the crown from their grasp.
