Struck in pure copper, this half groat weighs 5 grams and is .83 inches in diameter. These coins were hand-centered and struck one at a time using an antique Waterbury Farrell knuckle-press using about 75 tons of striking force. The result is a gorgeous strike in pure copper... an astonishing piece in its own right, and one that helps us create a sense-of-place in the mythical world of Westeros. While the silver ones are left fresh so you can see every detail, the coppers are brutalized to create a look and feel of an old coin which has been spent many times.
