Venetian Medieval Fauchard
This Venetian Medieval Fauchard is a medieval polearm or glaive from around 1500.This Fauchard with its glaive-like blade and large hook would have been an ideal tool for the medieval soldier to fend off or dismount a horseman in a melee. The long and sweeping blade and piercing tip would have been useful against all opponents, both mounted and on foot. The head of this polearm is fashioned from steel and it is dual-pinned and securely mounted onto a durable haft of smooth-polished hardwood.
