Viking Type A Axe with Etched Norse Design - AH4713

This Viking axe has a head which is crafted from EN45 high carbon steel which is etched on both sides with complex and ancient Norse knotwork. The haft is carved from robust hardwood and the axe is firmly seated and mounted directly onto the haft with a substantial rivet and it is then further reinforced with a steel axe wedge which is driven into the axe head socket to expand the wood for a very tight and permanent mounting.

Knotted and riveted bands of thick and high quality vegetable-tanned leather and a spiraled leather grip complete the axe.
