The chemise was worn under all Medieval and Renaissance ladies' clothing. It kept the outer clothing cleaner by absorbing perspiration and was often slept in. Our waist length chemise has been designed for those occasions where you don't want the extra material of a full chemise. Can be worn with a full skirt and bodice or just as a top on it's own. The drawstring neck allows you to wear the chemise on or off the shoulder. Comes with 1/2 inch ruffles at the wrist and with sewn in elastic you can pull your sleeves up and wear at the elbow. Made from 100% cotton. Available in White or Natural.
