Leather Italian Cuirass

Milanese armour from the 15th century was characterized by smooth rounded lines and functionality. They were practical fighting suits which had upper and lower breastplates attached with vertical leather straps.

Our Leather Italian Armour Cuirass was designed to provide a great deal of mobility. The leather faulds (skirt) and tassets are also completely articulated allowing you to bend over at the waist as well as sit down comfortably. Includes your choice of either 13-15oz Armour grade leather or lighter 8-10oz LARP grade leather. Great for LARP and SCA combat.

Most of our leather Armour is made from natural un-dyed cowhides. Each hide comes in a different shade of natural leather; some are very light, others are very dark. This affects the color, as well as how much dye the hide will accept. Even your computer screen will vary the colors of our sample pictures.
