By The Sword Catalog : Helms : 15th Century-Renaissance Helms : 16th Century Close Helmet 300130

16th Century Close Helmet

Ref: 300130
The armorer aimed to provide better and better protection as the development of the helmet continued across the centuries. He had comfort to fret over, too, since the safest helmet in the world was totally useless if it didn't provide enough ventilation or nobody wore it. The highly functioning and effective close helmet was created towards the end of the era of the sword. This fully operable replica 16th Century Close Helmet has a leather liner, hooks easily, and is very easy to wear. Collar protection is substantial. 18 gauge steel. Head circumference is 27". Neck opening is 21". Wt. 7 lbs, 14 oz. Circa 1550 AD.

Price: $245.00
